Cookie Policy

Cookies, Explained.

Last Updated · June 27, 2026

The handful of cookies and browser technologies we use — what they do, why, and how to control them — written as plainly as we can.

01

Overview

This Cookie Policy explains how The Barrel Drip (“we,” “us,” or “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit our website. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which describes how we handle personal information more broadly.

Because we sell and reserve alcohol, our site is intended only for individuals who are of legal drinking age in their jurisdiction (21 or older in the United States).

02

What Are Cookies & Similar Technologies

Cookies are small text files a site stores on your device to remember information between pages and visits. "Similar technologies" include local storage and session storage — small amounts of data kept by your browser. Our age confirmation, for example, is remembered using browser storage rather than a traditional cookie.

Some of these are set by us directly (first-party), and some are set by trusted services we rely on to run the site, such as our security and payment providers (third-party).

03

How We Use Them

We keep our use deliberately minimal. We use cookies and browser storage to keep the site secure, to remember that you have confirmed your age, and to make essential features — like our contact and reservation forms — work. We do not use them to build advertising profiles or to track you across other websites.

04

The Categories We Use

Strictly Necessary

Required for the site to function and stay secure. These cannot be switched off in our systems.

  • Cloudflare security (e.g. __cf_bm, cf_clearance) — our site is served through Cloudflare, which sets short-lived cookies to distinguish humans from bots and protect against abuse.
  • Cloudflare Turnstile — the privacy-friendly “are you human?” check on our contact and reservation forms, used in place of a traditional CAPTCHA to stop spam.

Functional / Preferences

Remember choices you make so the experience is smoother.

  • Age verification (browser local/session storage) — remembers that you have confirmed you are 21+, so you are not asked on every visit. Choosing “Remember me” stores this until you clear it; otherwise it lasts only for the current session.

Payments (Third Party)

When you purchase an event ticket you are taken to Stripe, our payment processor. Stripe sets its own cookies to process the payment securely and prevent fraud. Those cookies are governed by Stripe’s own policies, not ours.

05

No Advertising or Cross-Site Tracking

We do not currently use advertising, marketing, or cross-site tracking cookies, and we do not sell your personal information. If we ever add analytics or marketing technologies, we will update this policy and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent first.

06

Managing & Disabling Cookies

Most browsers let you view, block, or delete cookies and clear a site’s stored data through their settings. You can usually find these controls under "Privacy" or "Cookies and site data."

Because the security and age-verification technologies above are essential, blocking them may break parts of the site — for example, you may be asked to confirm your age on every visit, or be unable to submit a form. We do not respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals at this time, as we do not track you across sites.

07

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the technologies we use or in the law. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date above, and material changes will be made prominent on this page.
